Sable Strout
Mezzo-soprano
Mezzo-soprano Sable Strout was a Young Artist with Charlottesville Opera last season, performing as Lucinda in Sondheim’s Into The Woods while covering the role of the Baker’s Wife. Other roles include Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Annio in La clemenza di Tito, and Béatrice in Berlioz’s Béatrice et Bénédict, all performed at Wichita State University, and the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Iolanthe at University of Southern Maine. Concert appearances include the Bach Magnificat with White Mountain Bach Festival, and Julianna Hall’s song cycle Through the Guarded Gate for Seattle Art Song Society. Sable holds a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance from Wichita State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in voice Performance from University of Southern Maine.
